Viper V2 Tanto Blade Knives (Coyote)

The Viper V2 is the latest iteration of Off-Grid's popular knife, created with customer feedback, ideas, and opinions in mind. The original Viper V1 was a huge success, and it was time for a comprehensive upgrade.

First, the steel has been upgraded to Crucible 154CM (HRC 61), adding more size and heft to the build. The DNA of the V1 is still present, but now the Viper has an even more formidable presence. The tanto blade has been transformed into a sheepsfoot tanto, featuring a centered and sharply pointed tip for superior piercing ability, and the overall tanto angles have been sharpened for better slicing performance.

The signature cutouts in the spine have been retained, and jimping has been added on top of these cutouts, extending three-quarters of the spine. This results in an incredible non-slip texture for your thumb during hard-use leverage or your index finger for detailed cutting. The G10 scales feature a milled crosshatch pattern with contoured chamfering, providing comfortable ergonomics for hands of all sizes.

The Viper V2 is a borderline XL knife, with a 3.75-inch blade and a roomy 4-inch grip. A deep carry clip, secured by three torx screws, offers left and right carry options, and a movable G10 filler keeps the scales flush on the non-clip side.

The 3.75-inch blade has a tumbled DLC Graywash finish, with a 4mm thick 154CM blade stock that rides on smooth, snappy ceramic bearings for a drop-shut action. The sheepsfoot tanto blade shape comes to a sharp, nasty point for excellent piercing ability, and the angled tanto meets a straight edge for superior slicing.

The crosshatch pattern on the Coyote Tan G10 scales provides a comfortable and secure grip, even with gloved hands. The scales are locked in place with non-strip T8 screws, and a G10 filler has been added to the non-clip side for a smooth, flush appearance.

The Viper V2 has impressive fidget factor, with a smooth, snappy, and satisfying deployment. The blade rides on buttery ceramic bearings, and the jimping on the flipper tab ensures surefire action and lock-up every time.
